Our Verticals
Web development as an industry
In addition, cost of Web site development and hosting has dropped dramatically during
this time. Instead of costing tens of thousands of dollars, as was the case for
early websites, one can now develop a simple web site for less than a thousand dollars,
depending on the complexity and amount of content
A popular example is the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP), which is usually distributed
free of charge. This fact alone has manifested into many people around the globe
setting up new Web sites daily and thus contributing to increase in web development
popularity
Web Design
A web site is a collection of information about a particular topic or subject. Designing
a web site is defined as the arrangement and creation of web pages that in turn
make up a web site. A web page consists of information for which the web site is
developed. A web site might be compared to a book, where each page of the book is
a web page.
Search engine optimization (SEO)
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality
of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" ("organic" or "algorithmic")
search results. Typically, the higher a site's "page rank" (i.e, the earlier it
comes in the search results list), the more visitors it will receive from the search
engine. SEO can also target different kinds of search, including image search, local
search, and industry-specific vertical search engines.
As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work and what
people search for. Optimizing a website primarily involves editing its content and
HTML coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers
to the indexing activities of search engines.
Content Management System (CMS)
A content management system (CMS) is a computer application used to create, edit,
manage, search and publish various kinds of digital media and electronic text.[1]
CMSs are frequently used for storing, controlling, versioning, and publishing industry-specific
documentation such as news articles, operators' manuals, technical manuals, sales
guides, and marketing brochures. The content managed may include computer files,
image media, audio files, video files, electronic documents, and Web content
Website Redesign
This is probably why most people come to your site. They come to read your content.
It should be clear and well written. A very high percentage of websites are providing
poorly written content. The first generation of websites were written by the guy
who knew HTML but not much about graphic design and writing. Now people realize
that it takes a team effort to make a quality web page. Part of the team should
be a good writer. Redesigning requires having several outsiders read your content
to see if it is clear, up-to-date, accurate and communicates what it is supposed
to. Then rewrite the content. Another tip is to provide more than just your company
information but provide articles that attract people to the site.
Electronic commerce or e-commerce or Shopping Cart
Electronic commerce, commonly known as e-commerce or eCommerce, consists of the
buying and selling of products or services over electronic systems such as the Internet
and other computer networks. The amount of trade conducted electronically has grown
extraordinarily since the spread of the Internet. A wide variety of commerce is
conducted in this way, spurring and drawing on innovations in electronic funds transfer,
supply chain management, Internet marketing, online transaction processing, electronic
data interchange (EDI), inventory management systems, and automated data collection
systems. Modern electronic commerce typically uses the World Wide Web at least at
some point in the transaction's lifecycle, although it can encompass a wider range
of technologies such as e-mail as well.
